Berlin, Germany (Gastrosofie). Union Jack, the Whisky Pub in trendy Charlottenburg hosted an enriching whiskey tasting evening.
Limited editions included fine whiskeys from Scotland’s diverse distilleries.
Starting with a smokey highland Ardmore and a mild Strathisla, the mood headed to the lowlands with a Bladnoch and Glenburgie. Leading to a Glenrothes and Orkney, the pure whiskey flavors ended with a Coal Ila.
Tasting notes gave each taster a sweet ash, cherry marmalade or a sweet citrus reek of peet that left the nose, palate and finish with that ultimate dry and smooth delightful whisky experience.
The Union Jack is the oldest whisky pub in Berlin, and the staff proved to be the right whisky experts.
On your next whisky sojourn through Berlin, the Union Jack Whisky Pub will prove to be everything you’ve been looking for in a fine whisky evening.
