Tenuta Tignanello in the heart of Chianti Classico

Berlin, Germany (Gastrosofie). Tenuta Tignanello is an „expression of the Marchesi Antinori philosophy“. This and nothing else is stated on the home page Antinori.it in the world wide web and also that the „Tenuta Tignanello … is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico on the gentle hills between the valleys of the Greve and Pesa rivers“ and comprises 319 hectares of land, of which about 130 hectares are planted with vines“.

It is pointed out that „the estate’s vineyards“ include „Tignanello and Solaia … two jewels … on the same hill“, more precisely: „on calcareous and schistose marl soils of marine origin from the Pliocene, and benefit from warm days and fresh nights“ during the growth phase. The fact that „from these vineyards“ come both Solaia and Tignanello and thus „two wines that had the stature to become the starting point of the renaissance of Italian wine“ is something that gastrosophers and those who want to become one will soon find out if they want to, can and are allowed to travel with us and stay overnight at the Country Relais Fonte de‘ Medici.
