Masseria Altemura is placed in a fine position exactly in between the Adriatic and the Ionic Sea. The enterprise was once owned by the noble family Conti Martini Carissimo and was taken over by the Zonin company group in 2000. The manor house buildings with the massive pigeon-tower called “Palombara” dating from the period of Aragon rule were restored upholding the traditional architecture. On the lands of the manor there lie vineyards next to olive groves thus creating the typical atmosphere of rural Puglia. The wines produced are made from the local grape varieties Primitivo, Fiano, Negroamaro and Aglianico.
