Vallone is a well-known family in the time of wine-producing Puglia. Now the winery, established 1934, is led by the young heir Francesco who is set to uphold and evaluate the heritage of his ancestors. In this beautifully laid out vineyard one can find Negroamaro grown in the traditional way, and some other historical but at present not widely cultivated grape varieties such as Sussumaniello and Ottavianello plus international Sauvignon. Recently, the oenologist Graziana Grassini, pupil of Giacomo Tachis, has been entrusted with the making of wine and is sure to make her mark.
